Denzal Sinclaire brings the music of Nat King Cole to life with his superlative voice and engaging rapport. This tribute to Nat King Cole includes ten of the biggest hits made famous by one of America’s greatest jazz vocalists. On the second half, Denzal performs unique and stunning versions of other popular songs including “Amazing Grace,” Willie Nelson’s “Always On My Mind” and “Follow You Follow Me” by the rock group Genesis. A Tribute to Ray Charles, Motown and Beyond is a soulful celebration of the R&B roots and deep passion for the heart and soul of music that Ellis and Ray Charles shared.  Hits include “Georgia on My Mind,” “Hit The Road Jack,” “Ain’t No Mountain,” “America the Beautiful,” “I Heard it Through the Grapevine,” “Let The Good Times Roll” plus some great Ellis Hall originals. Two Broadway and Symphonic Pops favorite artists join your symphony in an extraordinary evening revisiting classic songs from Broadway’s Golden Age and beyond. The most popular tunes from Porter, Gershwin, Berlin, Hamlisch, Lloyd Webber and more are sung by Phantom of the Opera stars Lisa Vroman and Doug LaBrecque.  With unforgettable melodies and beautiful lyrics, their incredible vocal talents make this an elegant evening of beloved songs that audiences will always remember.

Tracing the evolution of Jazz, this program begins at the turn of the 20th century with music of Scott Joplin and Jelly Roll Morton.  Stripling and Gordon take the audience from the roots of jazz right on through the different eras of America’s original art form.  It’s all about Jazz from Ragtime, Swing, Big Band, Bee-Bop and Fusion. Song titles include: “Take Five,” “Birdland, “Struttin’ With Some Barbecue,” “Minnie The Moocher,” and others.
