A suite of music commissioned by the Genesee Country Museum to commemorate it’s 25th anniversary. The narrative and music tells the story of the settling of the Genesee Valley, but is also a universal story about early settlers in America.

Recorded by the Eastman Wind Ensemble and Canadian Brass on the CD “Manhattan Music”. In this re-orchestration created by Jeff Tyzik for the Eastman Wind Ensemble in 2009, all of the solo brass quintet parts from the original version have been incorporated into the wind ensemble.
